This is a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) elective Cultural Challenges for Law Enforcement online training course offered for Texas Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.

The demographic makeup in the United States has changed dramatically during our more than 230 year history, and is continuing to do so. Living and working in our society asks each of us to become increasingly aware of the challenges involved by acknowledging and valuing the unique contributions of co-workers, neighbors, and others we encounter through our daily lives and societal discourse.

Beyond diversities of race and gender lie a multitude of diverse backgrounds and perspectives. These diversities, or dimensions, are multifaceted, and are a direct result of an individual’s experiences combined with many factors.

Please note, the entire course final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive two (2) hours of course credit.

TCOLE Reporting
